After this, I think I have more respect for this kid.. That IS bold to say all that on NATIONAL TV… and all the things he says is pretty sound and really not watered down at all likes he’s afraid of how the audience might react…
I’m kinda blown away…
People give Justin Bieber a lot of crap, calling him “gay” and whatnot, but it’s admirable how bold he is about his faith. It’s easy to judge and say, “Well, he’s wallowing in his riches and he hasn’t made a Christian album, has he?”
But how many of us are even this bold in front of our co-workers and classmates, let alone on national television?
I know so many times we have the chance, when asked where our hope and joy and success come from, to say what we believe in our hearts - that it comes from God. But we don’t say it, either because we’re scared of the awkwardness or because we don’t think it’s appropriate to say in front of unbelievers.
The Bible is clear that what you say with your lips shows clearly what is in your heart (Matt 12:34). I would emphasize here that what you DON’T say with your lips also shows what is in your heart.
BE BOLD! Pray in front of your co-workers or classmates!
